Morning everybody, the way of saying of today is "Dare una pista" and is a typical expression of Rome but maybe is known in other regions of Italy too. Litterally means "Give a track" and I know that it means nothing to you. I guess that the most similar expression could be "by far". We use this expression when someone or something is better by far to somebody or something. For example I can say "Secondo me Valentino Rossi a tutti gli altri motociclisti gli dà una pista" = "In my opinion Valentino Rossi is by far the greatest biker compared to the others" .This is the meaning. But I can also say "secondo me la cucina italiana dà una pista a tutti" =" In my opinion the Italian cuisine is by far the best " . And how do you say "dare una pista" in your language? Till tomorrow.
